Corruption and Human Resources (HRD)
The situation in Indonesia relating to human resources is one of the saddest and most distressing issues. Even though parents may work 24 hours per day so that their children can get a university education, this doesn't guarantee that they will get an opportunity to obtain satisfying employment unless they have connections (nepotism) or lots of money to buy their way into employment.
The implications for Indonesia are that while it is in the process of development it is not utilizing the best human resources available. Instead we are still tending to utilize human resources based upon their family or other connections (nepotism) or those that participate in corruption practices and buy their way into the system. In these difficult times our country needs to utilize its human resources to the maximum in order for us to achieve our ambitions.
